Assisted as research assistant; Assisting a group of researchers from Istanbul University and ABA Robotics Lab in a research project.

• Analyzes brain functions by linking a simulated brain to a robotic body and exploring simulation results with respect to control of movement, reaction to stimulus and learning in a virtual environment.

• Following a multidisciplinary research methodology, the project provides the potential to perform realistic “closed-loop-studies”: perception – cognition – action.

• Studying completely simulated animal’s navigation or sensorimotor skills as it operates in a completely simulated environment, and doing immediate analysis based on the signals of the simulated brain recorded in real-time to allow bold and fruitful research on degenerative brain diseases.
